"I'm staying."
"Why would you want to stay? Clement kidnapped you."

I have a feeling things aren't so clear-cut. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteHe's being rather domineering, even if he's in the right.
ReplyDeleteEither she's smart to be cautious or stupid to not listen to him about the danger. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that she has a good reason to be cautious.
ReplyDeleteNice tense scene, Stephanie! I hope she's being stubborn for a reason.
ReplyDeleteWow complicated situation. I like her standing up for herself.
ReplyDeleteHi Steph! I am just finding WWW, so my first time here, but sure won't be the last. I like the tension you deliver. The heroine is showing a piece of her character, enough to make us want to read more.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting snippet! I wonder who will win this battle of wills... ;)
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing response, Stephanie. You got me hooked. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what's to be gained by staying? Interesting.
