This snippet:     Richard discovers what is bothering Jocelyn.

 "There can't be an us."
"Why not?" His brows knitted.
She gazed at him, unable to look away as hurt danced in his eyes.

Finally, she spoke. "I don't want to be held hostage by time."
"There were complications," he replied.

A Lady Never Lies  is a time traveling steampunk romance and is book three in "The Windsor Diaries." Richard travels back in time to win Jocelyn's heart, but will she leave her ailing father?
