It’s 2065 and while the Earth has made technological advancements, it’s natural resources that have suffered. Zeke Landry works for an oversight agency that studies water. When he notices there are discrepancies with the amount of water reported in Earth’s reservoirs, things start to get thorny. Soon other natural resources are attached, Rock musician, Queen Bea and her sister, Jessie are drawn into the mysterious going-ons along with Zeke and his AI, Forman. When Zeke is kidnapped and thrown into jail it’s up to Forman to bust him loose. Zeke is further drawn into the chaos when his uncle is kidnapped and a mysterious organization bent on taking over the world reveals itself. Can Zeke prevent the Earth from coming to a destructive end? Carson’s writing is easy to read and effortlessly draws you into Zeke’s world. She tackles  topics that the future will have deal with. It’s easy to imagine Zeke’s world. The supporting cast is interesting. Forman is an AI (artificial intelligence) and he’ll have the reader rooting  for him. He’s fearless and full of heart. G-1 is a great start to a futuristic series. It’s entertaining, suspenseful, and will keep the reader  turning the pages to find out what happens next.  Question for you as a Reader:  what's your favorite Sci-Fi movie or novel? Why?

Nail biting Romantic Suspense!

Maggie Toussaint pens a taunt romantic suspense with "Rough Waters." Rock MacKenzie arrives in Mossy Bog intent on finding one thing – the missing coins he discovered on a dive. He's convinced Jeanie Munro's ex-husband, Avery, might have taken them. Rock meets Jeanie with the intent of her leading him to Avery, but soon discovers Jeanie has no insights into her ex-husband's whereabouts. Rock learns he's attracted to Jeanie and feels bad when her house is burglarized.

Jeanie can't deny the attraction she feels for Rock, but her priority remains with her young children. In order to keep them safe, she sends them away and actively helps Rock seek the treasure he's looking or. Rock doesn't know what to make of his confusing clues, but when Jeanie's life is put in jeopardy, he's forced to come to terms with them in order to save her life.

Toussaint's writing is engaging, filled with several twists and turns leaving the reader anxious to find out what happens next. Rock is loyal, protective, and determined. Jeanie is a modern heroine. Not only is she gutsy and intitutive, but when it comes to her kids, she puts them first. Both the characters are strong, likable leads. The supporting cast embodies southern hospitality and there's no shortage of suspects.

"Rough Waters" is a romantic suspense novel with several main stream love scenes. It's the 3^rd book in the Mossy Bog series. The book stands alone in the series and embraces several elements of heightened suspense as the previous books did. I would definitely recommend it. "Rough Waters" is a page turner!

Toussaint pens an edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense with "Hot Water," book two in the Mossy Bog series. This book can be read as a stand alone.

Laurie Ann Dinterman is a hard working cop in Mossy Bog, but there's a serial arsonist lurking about. Can Laurie Ann catch him or will her budding relationship with arson investigator Wyatt North get in the way?

The novel opens with Laurie Ann poking around the burnt ruins of the Pirate's Cover restaurant. There she meets Wyatt North, an arson investigator tracking the arsonist. Laurie Ann and Wyatt are teamed up to find the criminal, but soon sparks flare up between them. When Wyatt targets Laurie Ann's cousin, Lester, as a suspect, will his declaration dampen the investigation and their growing relationship? How far will the arsonist go until he kills again?

Toussaint's penned a gem of a thriller. Taunt and face-paced, her writing is easy to read. She uses a good economy of words to paint a vivid picture of the setting.

Toussaint's characters shine. Laurie Ann is a cop with a big heart and a perfect fit in Mossy Bog. Wyatt is determined, possessing a quiet inner strength that is to be admired.

"Hot Water" is a romantic suspense with several mainstream love scenes. As Laurie Ann and Wyatt close in on the arsonist, I didn't want to put the story down. "Hot Water" intrigues, excites, and keeps the reader riveted to the page. I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy romantic suspense.

Toussaint pens a cozy "who-dunnit" mystery with "In For a Penny." When Cleopatra Jones finds her ex-husband's best friend, Dudley, dead as a doornail, on the golf course, she's 'in for a penny,' as the Hogan's Glen police investigate her friends and family as suspects.

Cleopatra (Cleo) Jones is an accountant in the small town of Hogan Glen. Everybody knows everybody. While playing golf with her best friend, she discovers Dudley's dead body. News travels fast and it seems everyone has a motive to do Dudley in. There's Cleo's best friend, Jonette, Cleo's ex-husband, Charles, Charlie's wife, Denise, Jasper the golf course maintenance guy, Jasper's mother, Cleo's neighbor, Ed, the mayor, and the shady real estate developer guy. The police start an official investigation, but Cleo's determined to find the murderer herself. As the danger gets closer to Cleo, will she find a killer or get killed herself?

"In For A Penny" has an endearing cast of characters. There's Cleo, the beleaguered, yet determined heroine, Mama, Cleo's exasperating mother, Jonette, Cleo's steadfast best, friend, Brit, the bossy cop, Dudley, who was no "doright," Charlie the cheater, and Rafe the golf pro hottie. Toussaint does an excellent job giving Hogan's Glen a life of it's own.

Toussaint builds the mystery slowly, but masterfully, up'ing the emotional involvement with each new angle Cleo investigates. The ending promises to keep the reader on the edge of their seat as Cleo returns to the scene of the murder to catch a killer. "In For A Penny," will have you smiling, fuming, biting your nails, and cheering for Cleo. Toussaint earns two enthusiastic thumbs up from this reader. I highly recommend this book.
