*****
"On the Fourth, would you like to
spend the day with me?" he asked.
"I—" Ella placed her hand on
the door and it swung open.
"Was your door latched?" Logan
fisted his hands.
"I thought it was," her voice
shook.
"Let me." The urge to protect
her surged in him and he stepped in front of her, entering the room. The sheets
on the bed were crumpled, bureau drawers were spread across the floor and her
clothes were tossed about.

You mentioned she's there for a tennis competition... so our list of suspect is pretty large, not just pretty criminals, but possible jealous challengers.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if it was just a random robbery or if she has something that someone wants or if she's hiding something. So many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, an ominous development. Glad she wasn't alone when she found that her room had been gone through! Excellent excerpt, tense....
ReplyDeleteThe scene's easy to visualize. Wonder who ransacked the room. The plot thickens. :-) Good 8.
ReplyDeleteA well-drawn scene. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance if you happen to drop by mine!
Oh well this is interesting. Who was in her home? And what where they looking for? You're leaving us guessing here!
