Hi all, I'm participating in the Weekend Warriors Snippet Sunday. This month, I'll be taking snippets from my sweet contemporary romance, perfect for the Easter season, A Polish Heart. You can find the Weekend Warriors Snippet Sunday list at:

This snippet:       Darrin meets his new boss, Mr. Czyinski.

"Mr. Czyinski is pleased to meet you. On Monday, he wants to hear your comments based on the plans," Sofia translated.
"From what I saw of the Stadium, I'm excited to work on this project."
Sofia translate and listened to her boss, then she turned to Darrin.
"He also hopes your accommodations are satisfactory."
"Yes, they are."
"He hopes you have some spare time this weekend to discover Warsaw. If you do, he's volunteered my services."

This snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.

"A Polish Heart" is a sweet contemporary romance.  Darrin Riverton, an architect from the United States is assigned to a challenging project which requires a trip to Poland. Sofia Buraczynski is assigned as his translator and his first sight of her heats his blood.

With Sofia as his guide, Darrin discovers Poland and many new things about himself, as well. When a chance is presented for him to remain in Poland, will he leave behind family and all that is familiar to follow his heart?

  1. Totally off-topic, but now I want pierogies. It's nice to see some diversity in the stories!

  2. I'm sure this last sentence is going to help him make free time if he doesn't have any. :)

  4. "...he's volunteered my services."

I would be so pissed off if someone volunteered my services on my time off...

  5. Well that's cozy! I'm with PT, I wouldn't be happy to have my weekend "volunteered" but maybe you set that up between her and her boss earlier? The snippet was excellent, I do enjoy your main characters!

  6. Nice of the boss to have someone else show the new guy around town. Then again, we know Sofia speaks English and Mr. Czyinski doesn't seem to, so in a way it's understandable.

  7. Thank you everyone who stopped by. It's much appreciated. There's more to the snippet and I'll play it next week. I agree, it's rather bold of Mr. Czyinski to volunteer her services, but she doesn't mind too much.
