Snippet Sunday: $1.99 contemporary romantic suspense: The Faberge Secret #snippetsunday

Hi all, I'm participating in the Weekend Warriors Snippet Sunday. This month, I'll be taking snippets from my contemporary romance: The Faberge Secret


This snippet:   Lucy, Elise's friend, helps her to her feet after Elise just knocked over a handsome stranger by accident.

"Are you hurt?" Lucy grabbed Elise's arm and pried her off the handsome stranger. Her body ached from the sudden departure of his masculine heat and spicy cologne.

Amusement flickered in his eyes as he got to his feet. "I'm fine. Thank you for asking."


Lucy glared at Elise. "Check your pockets."

The Faberge Secret takes place during Christmas between Brattleboro, Vermont and St. Petersburg, Russia.

    I like Lucy! She's the practical sort.

    And I love that she had to 'pry' Elise from the stranger (maybe he'd better check *his* pockets? ;) )

    LOL. Well Lucy certainly is an untrusting sort...but I love that Elise had to be essentially pried off the hunka man. I want to know more about this stranger.

    Which one is Lucy advising to check their pockets? It sounds like she's telling Elise, but it could be the other way around.

    This is a great snippet, just enough to get your sucked in. It's definitely on my list now. I am currently reading Playing With Fire by Cassandra Bella, romantic suspense as well and amazing. cassandrabella.net is her site. It's worth the look for sure!
